Computers have always been a big part of my life. When I was born in Atlanta, my Dad owned a software company and my crib was set up in his home office.  I guess you could say I was raised in a computer room! My family has always had a number of computers in the house so I have always had easy access to them.

When I was in elementary school, I went to a "computer magnet academy" where I learned more about how to use computers. I participated in the television production program at my middle school where I learned how to use cameras and editing software. I continued to hone my skills throughout my high school years.

I received a laptop as a high school graduation present and the search for bigger and better graphic editing tools was on! I am fluent in Adobe Photoshop CS3, Adobe Flash CS3, and Adobe Premier Pro CS3. After wearing out my gift laptop, I invested in an Apple MacBook Pro - a great graphics tool!

FanGrafix came about after I created a few cool looking graphic images for myself. I placed the images on my Facebook and DawgVent pages. (DawgVent is an online community for University of Georgia sports fans at UGASports.com) The next thing I knew, I was getting requests for personalized custom graphics from several UGA football players and many others. That's when my Dad said I needed to make some money with my talents- and FanGrafix was born!

As a student at the University of Georgia, I continued to develop my skills by working part time with UGASports.com as their graphic design and multimedia specialist.  I was able to create attractive, professional, and appropriate designs for all applications.  From season schedule magnets to event badges to posters to magazine covers and feature story graphics, I gained a lot of experience with UGASports.   I have had the tools to create small video productions and some short clips to enhance the aesthetic experience with the site and its multimedia offerings.

I pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management Information Systems.  This helped me explore a new avenue to show off my creativity - the web.  I took on many projects in class that dealt with designing a web presence for our project sponsor.  I started exploring different programs and methods of design that have really rounded out my design knowledge to become more comprehensive.

Since graduating from Georgia in December 2009, I have continued with graphic design and have added video production to my list of capacities.  I have been around video production and editing since middle school.  From working with the school "news station" to producing an all-encompassing video recap of the school year, I had good exposure to the type of work it takes to be in a video production house.  In high school, I enrolled in a Video Productions course which exposed me to more professional technologies such as the Canon line of videocameras, Adobe Premiere, and Adobe After Effects.  

As you can see, my experience is varied and has prepared me for whatever comes my way.  I look forward to helping you with your design or multimedia needs.
